John Barrowman's "Desperate Housewifes" debut this Sunday!

It appears that the wait is almost over. John Barrowman posted on twitter today:

My first episode DH airing Sunday on ABC and watch for my interview with Ross King on GMTV was filmed in LA will post air date when i know.

 

We here at Impossible Journal are eager to see how the ratings turn out for our beloved Captain Jack and his stint as the DH "Big Bad" for the rest of the season turns out.

Doctor Who: Eleventh Hour - Possible Airdate

According to the BBC Program website the London only air date  has been set for April 3, 2010 @ 6:25pm.

The BBC described the plot of the episode The Eleventh Hour as:

The Doctor has regenerated into a brand new man, but danger strikes before he can even recover. With the TARDIS wrecked, and the sonic screwdriver destroyed, the new Doctor has just 20 minutes to save the whole world - and only Amy Pond to help him.

The BBC is calling this the start of Series 5 of Doctor. This being the fifth full season of Doctor Who since it's relaunch in 2005.

No word yet if this the finalized air date or any news on when the episode will air in the United Sates.

Doctor Who Updates

11DrWhat a week! It began with news that Doctor Who had been nominated in the Drama category of 2010's National Television Awards with David Tennant up there for Drama Performance for his portrayal of the Doctor.

There was also confirmation that the award-winning Murray Gold will be staying with Doctor Who to compose music for the 2010 series. He's also revealed he has begun work on a new version of the theme tune and away from the TARDIS Murray's many fans will be delighted to hear he's composing a musical for BBC Radio 3.

There was more information about the new series with details emerging about who would be writing episodes for the Eleventh Doctor. Executive Producer and Lead Writer Steven Moffat will be penning six episodes whilst Chris Chibnall (42, Torchwood) is writing two. We'll see the return of Mark Gatiss (The Unquiet Dead, The Idiot's Lantern), Toby Whithouse (School Reunion) and Gareth Roberts (Attack of the Graske, The Shakespeare Code and The Unicorn and the Wasp) who are all writing one episode. John Barrowman set to play villain in Desperate Housewives

BarrowmanJohn Barrowman is heading to Hollywood to play the 'bad guy' on TV hit Desperate Housewives.

The Torchwood and Dr Who star will guest star in several episodes on the long-running show about the goings on in fictional Wisteria Lane.

Barrowman, 42, will fly to Los Angeles early March to film with Desperate Housewives leading ladies Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria Parker.
